The volunteer group Friends of the Hazen Memorial Library in Shirley, MA prepare for election day May 12th. Library Director Debra Roy conducts a “briefing meeting” at 1:15P EDT May 9, 2009.
Friends will pass around handouts about library certification and funding. They say they need the help of volunteers to “educate Shirley’s townspeople” about pride of access to a state certified library, which requires funding from the town.
A small request for six volunteers to take shifts at a table at Town Hall, 7 Keady Way, on Tuesday, May 12th from
- 7 to 9 AM
- Noon to 2PM
- 5 to 7 PM
Two volunteers for each time slot had been sought as of Thursday Noon.
